She had him pronouncing "s" words like it was nothing--"fop" soon became "stop". Adults who didn't spend time with my son began to understand mostly of what he was saying. To keep him interested during each session, Caitlin thought of creative games and activities. Her sweet demeanor and patience never wavered, which made her a true joy to be around. "Caitlin has been a part of my family for almost three years. Caitlin has treated my daughter who has Apraxia with astounding love and support. When discovering what was thought only to be a "speech delay" that my daughter actually has apraxia, it was approached with the most care and diligence. From my first interaction with Caitlin, I knew that she would be a great fit for my daughter. Who also displayed signs of being an introvert. Caitlin welcomed the challenge that was ahead of her and as a mom that was extremely comforting. Caitlin exudes excellence and demanded that from my daughter. Caitlin devised a plan and routine for my daughter, who was attending speech therapy multiple days of the week, to now only once a week!! My daughter went from me having to translate what she was trying to communicate to others, to now being able to have a conversation clearly and precisely on her own. "Caitlin is god sent. She's my grandson's angel. She was able to reach him when nobody could, and he's progressed in such a way in such a short amount of time that you can see that he's growing and his speech is getting better, and she's just amazing. "Caitlin from Rocket Speech Therapy was absolutely amazing and such a wonderful professional before I even started speech therapy with my son. When I first inquired about her services and pricing (without fully committing to her services) she had sent me so much material to help my 17 month old son and told me to reach out if I ever had questions about anything. All on her own time. When we found out from our insurance company that they would cover the services with reimbursement, we set up to start with Caitlin 1x week. Caitlin came every week on time to our sessions having the patience of a saint and worked hard with all different toys for my son. She also incorporated the iPad and specifically designed instruction/ apps / programs for each session. She prompted, assisted, and guided him to complete tasks. She worked around my son and his mood/ needs/ and interests the day of each session. With Caitlin’s aid, my son was able to sign “more” independently with his hands. We started out by my son signing “more” with hand over hand or him using our hands to sign. He had lost his speech around 12 months and regressed but once we started with Caitlin at 17 months he stared making sounds again. Dada, Mama, bahh( for bottle), ggguh (for go), and huhhp (for help).
